FishBuddyPro™ Cookie Policy

This policy describes the cookies and similar browser-storage technologies actually found during the FishBuddyPro™ website audit. It does not describe technologies that are not present.

Cookies are small text records and browser storage provides similar ways to retain limited information on a visitor’s device. FishBuddyPro™ currently uses local storage rather than document cookies.

The audit confirmed two first-party local-storage keys: fishbuddypro-cookie-consent and fishbuddypro-theme. No document cookies, session storage, IndexedDB, analytics, advertising pixels, marketing trackers, third-party forms, chat widgets or embedded external media were detected.

fishbuddypro-cookie-consent stores consent version 1.0, a timestamp and fixed category states. It is created when the notice is acknowledged and is reviewed after 180 days. It is not shared externally.

fishbuddypro-theme stores only light or dark. It is created only after the visitor deliberately uses the theme control and remains until browser storage is cleared. It is not used for analytics, advertising or profiling and is not shared externally.

FishBuddyPro™ does not currently load analytics, marketing technologies, advertising pixels or embedded external media. Ordinary links to YouTube and Facebook do not load those providers on this website before a visitor chooses to leave FishBuddyPro™.

No third-party browser-storage provider was found in the audited website implementation. Framer provides website hosting infrastructure, but no optional Framer Analytics implementation was found in the project code or components audited.

Because no non-essential technology was detected, FishBuddyPro™ displays an informational notice rather than misleading Accept All or Reject All controls. Cookie Settings explains the active storage and can be reopened from the footer.

You can remove the records through browser site-data controls. The notice appears again if the consent record is missing, corrupted, older than 180 days or uses a different policy version. Clearing the theme key returns the website to its default Dark Mode.
