Begin by reviewing the main FishBuddyPro home screen, setting your preferences and recording a test catch so you can become familiar with the app before using it during a real fishing session.

Quick Catch lets you record an individual catch without first creating a complete Fishing Trip.

Fishing Trips group catches, notes, times and other session information within one planned, active or completed fishing session.

Check FishBuddyPro camera and photograph permissions, then try taking or selecting the image again.

Turn on location, grant FishBuddyPro location permission and retry where the phone can obtain a position.

Catch Conditions depend on catch location, phone information and optional online conditions.

Ask My Stats can only answer from fishing information already stored in FishBuddyPro, so check the question, filters and saved records.

Create regular FishBuddyPro backups and store them somewhere you can access if the phone is lost, replaced or reset.

Use Restore Backup with a valid FishBuddyPro backup file and review the warning shown before replacing or merging any current information.

Stop making unnecessary changes, check the correct installation and profile, and look for a recent backup before attempting recovery.

Restart FishBuddyPro and the phone, record what action caused the problem and contact support if the issue can be repeated.

Use FishBuddyPro Settings to select the preferred theme, dark mode and supported home-screen visibility.

Use Replace Species Photos to change the standard image shown for a species without replacing personal catch photographs.

Use the central FishBuddyPro Support Email shown on this page and include enough detail to identify the problem.

Locally stored FishBuddyPro information can normally be managed through the app’s deletion controls or Android app-storage settings, but create a backup first where the information may be needed later.
